A Community Caring for Its Canopy

The Cambridge Tree Committee is a volunteer group committed to maintaining and enhancing the village’s rich tree canopy. We work closely with residents, local organizations, and public officials to plant new trees, nurture existing ones, and safeguard the greenery that makes Cambridge special.

By promoting sustainable tree care and management, our mission is to keep Cambridge’s public spaces vibrant, healthy, and welcoming, ensuring that our village remains a beautiful place to live, work, and gather.

More Than Just Leaves and Branches

Trees are a cornerstone of our village’s identity. They provide cooling shade on hot summer days, help manage stormwater, and clean the air we breathe. But their impact goes beyond the environmental—trees create spaces where community life flourishes. From Main Street to our quiet neighborhoods, trees make our public spaces more inviting, encourage outdoor gatherings, and offer a peaceful setting for residents and visitors alike. By planting, protecting, and nurturing Cambridge’s trees, we not only enhance the environment but also the quality of life for everyone in our village.

Our efforts focus on long-term, sustainable strategies that keep Cambridge’s public spaces green, beautiful, and resilient.
