Follow these tips whenever you clear a hydrant. If it’s unsafe, report it instead.
- Pause during active plowing; stay out of the roadway.
- Clear a 3‑foot circle and a short path to the curb.
- Use shovels/ice choppers only; no power equipment near hydrants.
- Wear reflective/bright clothing; work in daylight when possible.
- Children help only with adult supervision.
Tell us and we’ll add the hydrant to the DPW priority list.

Report it using the contact section below; DPW and CFD will handle it.
